PENILAIAN KETERKAITAN KERENTANAN SOSIAL TERHADAP KAPASITAS MASYARAKAT PADA BENCANA BANJIR ROB DI KECAMATAN WONOKERTO
Abstract
Tidal flood disasters are common in coastal regions, including Pekalongan Regency. These floods are primarily caused by a rise in sea levels of 6-10 mm annually and excessive groundwater extraction, leading to land subsidence of 20 cm per year. Wonokerto Subdistrict is one of the areas most at risk of experiencing tidal floods. In the period between 2022 and 2023, five tidal flood events were recorded, severely affecting the area's social, economic, and environmental conditions. These impacts are closely tied to the social vulnerability levels in Wonokerto Subdistrict. The subdistrict also has two villages supported by the BPBD of Pekalongan Regency, that are being developed into Disaster-Resilient Villages (Destana). This study aims to evaluate the relationship between social vulnerability and community capacity in Wonokerto as a basis for tackling tidal flood disasters. The research adopts a deductive-quantitative approach and gathers both primary and secondary data. Data analysis methods used include scoring/weighting analysis, spatial analysis, and Pearson’s correlation. The findings reveal that the population density in Wonokerto Subdistrict is high, with moderate to low ratios of vulnerable groups and people with disabilities. The social vulnerability analysis shows a medium level (0.334-0.667), while the community capacity in Pecakaran Village is rated good, with Api Api and Wonokerto Kulon Villages also showing good capacity. Pearson’s correlation analysis shows a strong positive relationship (0.572). However, the significance value of (0.612 > 0.05) suggests that there is no significant correlation between social vulnerability and community capacity in managing rob floods in Wonokerto Subdistrict.
