ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN AIR DI KECAMATAN WONOPRINGGO KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN

Abstract

One of the basic human needs is clean water, which must be available in adequate capacity and quality. However, the increase in population that occurs in Wonopringgo Sub-district every year causes the demand for clean water to also increase. Although the government has organized a Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) program to support the community's clean water needs, the available water discharge may not be sufficient until 2040. Thus, this study aims to analyze the water needs of the community in Wonopringgo Sub-district and evaluate whether the current water supply is sufficient until the end of the projection period. The research method used is a deductive quantitative method that includes a population projection method (arithmetic model and geometric model) and a water demand analysis method (domestic, non-domestic demand, water loss, and total water demand). The results of the analysis show that the population of Wonopringgo Sub-district in 2040 is projected to reach 74,782 people with a total water demand of 156.38 liters/second.
